You do not need to know anything about tabletop games. Follow these six steps.

  1. Know the idea

A tabletop RPG is a story you tell together. One person is the Game Master, who describes the world and runs the Foes. Everyone else plays a Persona. When something is risky, you roll dice. There is no magic in this game, only people, powers and gear.

  2. Pick an Origin

Your Origin is where your Persona came from. It shapes who they are before the story starts.

  3. Pick an Archetype

Your Archetype is how your Persona solves problems, and it comes with a starting kit.

  4. Build your Persona

Choose Premade, Step by step, Quick Build or Randomize. Quick Build needs only an Origin and an Archetype.

  5. Try a table

Open the sandbox table: a ready map, your Persona and a dice tray. No sign-up. Press the Help button for tips.

  6. Play for real

When you have a group, one of you runs a table and the rest join with a code. Campaigns give the Game Master a ready-made story.
