Chapter 1

The Job

This chapter opens the story. It sets the scene, introduces the people your Personas meet first, and gives the Game Master everything needed to run the first session without preparation.

Read aloud

Rain hammers the corrugated roof of Warehouse Nine. The contact said midnight, and it is already ten past. Somewhere in the dark a forklift engine ticks as it cools, and nothing else moves.

The arrival

The Personas arrive separately. Anyone who wants to scout first can make a Sneak check against the guards on the roof, and a Insight check tells them the contact has been waiting inside for much longer than ten minutes.

A Persona with a Compact Grapple Gun can reach the roof catwalk in one move. Everyone else uses the loading doors, which are chained but not locked.

Dana arranges jobs for people who cannot be seen asking for them. She is frightened and covering it with efficiency. She will not say who hired her until she is sure the Personas are not the ones she is afraid of.

The file imports on My Personas so you can add this person to a table.

Scene: the warehouse

The warehouse is a single large floor with a mezzanine on the east side. Crates give cover everywhere, and the forklift in the centre can be started with a Tinker check.

Warehouse Nine, ground floor and mezzanine. 30 by 20 squares.

Aftermath

Whoever wins, Dana leaves with a name she should not have heard. Chapter 2 starts with where that name takes the Personas.
